Love Takes Flight: A Journey with Sys’s ‘High’ Music Video

This past Thursday marked a truly remarkable experience for me as I had the privilege of hosting the new music video shoot for the incredibly talented singer, Sys (Sijtske Tjon A Tjoen), hailing from the beautiful city of Paramaribo, Suriname.
Collaborating with a team of brilliant individuals, including Jaleeza Weibolt as the stylist, Mimi as the makeup artist, BossImages for cinematography, Judith Lochem as the manager, the support of her best friend Daniella Lalji, and Gloria Sanches as the hair stylist with the assistance of her sister Moriah Sanches, we embarked on creating something truly breathtaking. This blog recounts the essence of the music video and the profound message it carries.

The song aptly titled “High” revolves around the concept of love that elevates us to new heights. Love has an inexplicable ability to transcend boundaries and limitations, lifting our spirits and igniting a sense of boundless joy. As the host of the video shoot, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the quote, “Love is the ultimate HIGH that transcends all boundaries, where our souls take flight and our hearts soar beyond the limits of the known.” The lyrics and visuals of the video beautifully captures the essence of this profound message.

It was an absolute honor for me to provide my studio as the venue for this momentous occasion. As the team meticulously crafted each scene, there was an undeniable synergy among the crew members. From the visionary stylist Jaleeza Weibolt, who ensured that every frame reflected the song’s theme, to the talented makeup artist Mimi, who brought out the natural beauty of Sys, every detail was carefully considered. BossImages, the master of cinematography, skillfully captured the essence of the music video, while Judith Lochem managed the project with finesse. Additionally, Gloria Sanches, the hair stylist, added a touch of magic to Sys’s appearance, completing the visual experience.
